Emily Rose Dunker previously served as associate and acting principal at Carlynton Junior-Senior High School, as a 10th grade communications teacher at Freedom Area High School and taught 10th and 12th grade English at North Catholic High School. She has experience with the Pine-Richland School District, having completed her principal internship at Wexford Elementary in 2019.
Mrs. Dunker has held roles as crisis team leader and SAP team leader. As acting principal, she is especially proud of her work creating a dedicated room to help students refocus on learning as well as the implementation of new systems and processes in the junior-senior high school.
Mrs. Dunker earned a B.A. from Saint Mary’s College and an M.Ed. in secondary education and English from Duquesne University, and received K-12 principal certification through the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in educational leadership at the University of Pittsburgh.

Michael Rose served as a middle school counselor at Pine-Richland Middle School from 2020–2024 before joining Eden Hall as assistant principal. Throughout his tenure at the middle school, he was a member of various academic committees and was an active member of the Student Assistance Program team and has served as a club sponsor and coach.
Prior to coming to Pine-Richland, Mr. Rose worked as a school counselor for seven years with the Cumberland Valley School District in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. He earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, a master of science in counseling education from Duquesne University and principal certification from Shippensburg University.

Our students continue to shine bright in their educational journey as we embark on the second month of the school year! We have so many exciting academic and extracurricular activities unfolding at Eden Hall, and we are eager to share these highlights in this newsletter.
We kicked off our school year theme, “Lights, Camera, Action! Spotlight on Learning” by rolling out the red carpet to welcome our new and returning shining stars. This year's theme was inspired by the book Lotte’s Magical Paper Puppets.
This year, we look forward to seeing the entire EHUE community shine as our district mission—“focus on learning for every student, every day”—takes center stage.
