Scheduling Information Night Planned for Rising 7th Graders
As your child prepares to transition to PRMS, we want to share important information about our scheduling process and what to expect for the 2026-2027 school year. While many courses are pre-determined, we will need your input on selecting others.
Our 2026-2027 Program of Studies (POS) is available on our website. This comprehensive guide provides essential information about curricular offerings, key contacts, course selection details, and general scheduling information. We encourage you to review the POS with your child as you navigate this process.
At PRMS, students follow a nine-period daily schedule. All students will take the following core courses and activities:
- English 7, Science 7, Social Studies 7, Reading 7
- Lunch
- Physical Education (PE)
- Unified Arts
A nine-week rotation of Family Consumer Science, Art, Technology Education and Business - World Language
Please select one of the following options: Spanish 7, French 7 or German 7.
World Language will alternate with PE 7 for the entire school year. - Academic Support or Band/Orchestra/Chorus
Please select Academic Support or one or two performing arts courses.
For mathematics, students will be placed in one of the following courses:
- Pre-Concepts of Math 7
- Fundamentals of Pre-Algebra
- Pre-Algebra Current
- Pre-Algebra Compacted/Extended
- Honors Algebra 7
To make math placement recommendations, PRMS administration will consider your child’s current math placement, grades, standardized test scores, teacher input and Pennsylvania Value-Added Assessment results.
Scheduling Information Night
We would like to invite our rising seventh-grade parents to a Scheduling Information Night on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 7:00 pm. During this event, we will provide an overview of PRMS, explain the scheduling process, discuss elective course options, and share information about extracurricular activities available to your child.
On March 2, your child’s Course Request Form will be available through your parental account in the Sapphire Community Portal. Please review the form with your child, select any eligible elective courses, and promptly submit. Click on this video link if you need help navigating Sapphire. If you have any questions about your student’s course recommendations, contact the PRMS Administration or Counseling Office.

PRMS Auditorium at 7:00 pm
Parent Night will outline the Middle School scheduling process and course request form in the Sapphire Community Portal.
March 2, 2025—Recommended Courses Available
Forms listing recommended courses for the 2026-27 school year are made available in the Sapphire Community Portal. Questions should be directed to the PRMS Administration or Counseling Office.
March 9, 2025—Deadline
Final day to electronically submit Course Request Forms and complete any necessary course waivers.
